So who is this Mike Vuolo anyway?
Mike Vuolo recently received his PhD in sociology (June 2009) from the
University of Minnesota. He also has an MS in Statistics (June 2007) and is currently enrolled
as a Master of Financial Mathematics student in the School of Mathematics at
the University of Minnesota. Within sociology, his research interests include law, crime,
and deviance, statistics and methodology, the life course, and criminal justice
policy. He is currently a practicing statistician for Allina Hospitals & Clinics.
What I've been up to
I am currently a statistician for Allina Hospitals & Clinics. I was previously data analyst
for the Youth Development Study and project manager for P.I. Professor Chris Uggen (my advisor) on the study
"The Effects of Low-Level Offense Records and Race on Employability."
