DECLARING A MINOR IN SOCIOLOGY
Please read this and the attached sheet for the most current and accurate information.  We will process a Minor Program Form for you if you have completed at least three sociology courses.  If you have questions about the sociology minor, leave a note with this form and the advisor will contact you. 

Please leave the form below in the Sociology Department Office, 909 Social Science Building with an APAS report (from the web at One Stop) or an unofficial copy of your current transcript.

If you earned any relevant sociology credits (including introductory sociology) from another institution, an APAS report will be the most comprehensive history of your course completions to date. These reports are available from One Stop, the Registrar's Office in 130 West Bank Skyway (between Blegen Hall and Willey Hall), or the Registrar's Office in 200 Fraser Hall. 

If the advisor is available when you stop by to drop off this form, check in with her directly.  The on-line minor declaration form only takes a few moments to complete. If the advisor is not available, she will email you if there are questions and/or confirm that the form has been submitted.  After you are a declared Soc minor, we will email you  a copy of the declaration form.

Your College Advising Office will clear your minor and enter it on your transcript when you complete all the course work.  They will keep the Minor Program Form in your college file if you have course work in progress or courses you need to complete for the minor.
