So who is this Mike Vuolo anyway?
This is the obligatory part of the webpage where I say a little something about
myself, referring to myself in the third person. Mike Vuolo is a PhD candidate (expected 2009) in the
Department of Sociology here at the University of Minnesota. He received a Statistics MS from the
University of Minnesota in 2007. That seems like enough.
What I've been up to
I am currently a data analyst
for the Youth Development Study and project manager for P.I. Professor Chris Uggen (my advisor) on the study
"The Effects of Low-Level Offense Records and Race on Employability."
I occassionally do private statistical consulting related to the social sciences, e-mail me for more
information. Here's some recently published articles. (Please view the copyright information before downloading.)
